Someone needs to stop the madness. Head of DreamWorks Animation, Jeffrey Katzenberg, is serving up his plans for the future of his studio, and “sequel” seems to be his favorite word. The chief revealed that, like the Shrek series, other popular DreamWorks franchises will enjoy many additional feature length films; in total there will be three for How To Train Your Dragon films, four for Madagascar‘s, and six (as in a double trilogy) for the Kung Fu Panda movies.

Katzenberg insists that the series’ are all created carefully, allowing for a clear beginning, middle and end, and removing the cheap open endings that could allow for even further film offspring. I can at least be happy that DreamWorks isn’t allowing for any sequel wildness beyond what is already slated, but honestly I doubt that anyone will be clamoring for more after 6 installments of Jack Black’s panda-fied “complimentary awesomeness.” Don’t get me wrong, I loved the original Kung Fu Panda, but I definitely didn’t leave the theater thinking, “Damn I hope they turn this into a six part saga.” Sorry, but I just don’t have that many questions about a panda that serves ramen and happens to kick ass. At the time, it was reported that Blockbuster, the former video giant that is aging anything but gracefully, was also backing this 30-day window idea (where it might see a 30-day rental exclusive on some titles). With the company bleeding money, it shouldn’t be surprising that they’re aligning themselves with the studios. But more recently, there has been some very disheartening news: Netflix seems to be willing to back this idea too. George Clooney is gearing up for a legal war in Italy — claiming invasive paparazzi climbed over the wall of his Italian home and shot a topless photo of a 13-year-old girl changing in one of his guest rooms.

The photographer also took shots of Clooney and his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis enjoying private moments in the yard of his estate.

The photos were published in two magazines — and in a statement to TMZ, Clooney says he’s gunning to sue both the mags and the photog who took the pictures.

“We’re suing two magazines AND a photographer. I don’t know about the law in the United States but in Italy it’s illegal for photographers to climb over my wall and to take long lens pictures of a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom.
